Into the Unknown

There are times in our lives when the destination is unknown But the place we are at, we have most certainly outgrown. If we stay, we will look back at the chances we have blown In hindsight only see the times away we have thrown. Yet to move, no guidance, no direction is clearly shown Destination out of sight, the path full of rock and stone. To remain is to await the house filled with skull and bone. Resources, tools and means, we can obtain on loan; Life moves on, can’t retrieve bygone times that have flown. What to do? Where to go? Dare I brave the unknown? Dare I seek the Holy Grail? Head for the Celestial Throne? Which way and direction? Awake, asleep, moan and groan; Any one is just as good, though each has a unique tone. So I choose to move forth, all alone and on my own, One step, then the next, till I reap what I’ve sown.

What We Are

Somebody who had read my books and such Called me up to contact me and get in touch He said, "I like your books, liked what I read Something else I liked much more than what you said I read your biography, was good to see Someone else is crazier even than me. Now I feel I can do my thing without feeling bad Because I can point at you, say you are mad." I must admit, though surprised I was glad Gift of freedom, the effect my life had. Interesting too it was for me, by far What we say is not as strong as what we are.

Fall to Fly

A bird can only learn to fly If is willing to climb up high And fall, though fears in its heart lie Thus will try, to lightly soar into the sky. And when we fall from grace Our past misdeeds retrace Hardships, are willing to face Unknown challenges embrace. This is the only way to chase Our dragons, clobber with mace Just like the bird can only fly Knowing in its fall it may die. And if the bird wants to deny The natural law that helps it fly It may protest and it may cry But gravity, cannot pass by. We may decide to stay in place And create a comforting space Unless we fall, face disgrace We stay enslaved to our old ways. Spirit demands courage to brace Adversity, with constant pace. Flight demands the bird to try To fall, thus gravity defy.

My Keeper

If my keeper is the one that I can guess No matter what may happen, or come to pass, No matter how troublesome, how big a mess, Amidst falling rocks, can maintain my glass.

Sword of Faith

What have I done in the past Without fear or some hope? Yet everything went so fast And with all, I could cope. Why do I not have a blast? Fear and hope clutch and grope? When I know nothing will last Present is a bubble of soap. Why not then in contrast Let not hope become my dope, Future, past, in fire cast Sword of faith cut fear’s rope?

Heart and Head

They say when head and heart Are separated, apart, Ignorance will make a start And wisdom will depart. Cause heart is full of hope And the head, full of fear Heart with everything can cope While the head is sincere. The battle of heart and head Is that of love and fear Love can resurrect the dead When the head is clear. When head and heart are near We will love even fear Faith speaks in our ear Wisdom our path steer.
