Miracles

I once met a self-proclaimed teacher who was talking about miracles
He said he had no interest in the miracles of walking on water or such
What really affected him was the simple miracle of happiness
Magical tricks he did not care for, but happiness he loved so much.
I don't know, perhaps he had realized something much too profound
Even more so than Christ, who cared for walking on water and the healing touch;
Yet what I really wanted to ask this man in his state of enlightenment
If there was any room for the miracle of sorrow in his mental clutch.

Cause & Effect

Science has defined cause and effect
Just as a chain, real, perfect;
Every event is caused by another
And the event will cause farther
Events, forging links in this chain
Each link beside another remain;
The links go back to the start of time
On the other side, to the end of line,
But science stops right then and there
The chain is left hanging in mid-air,
The first and last link just float
First and last cause cannot be sought.

Then religion enters the picture
Through its inspired scripture.
Cyclic belief links the first to last
Connecting future to the distant past;
World goes to sleep, rises from its bed,
An egg timer turned on its head.
Linear belief anchors each end
To a surface and will pretend
Each surface is face of a wall
In the house of God, erected tall,
And each chain with every link
Hung in the house with God's single blink.

Which one is right? I cannot tell
Each one, its doctrine, tries to sell;
I, the potential buyer of the chain
Perplexed, and in confusion remain
From buying I refrain
Pursuit is in vain and insane.
In this chain I am just a link
All I can do is just think
Of my place now and here
Of confusion my head clear
Get to know myself, my pleasure and pain
By knowing the link, get to know the chain.

Head, Heart, Hand

We've been endowed with the head, the heart and the hand
Through which we know, we care, and manifest god's command;
The trio of Wisdom, Love and Power give merit
To the trinity of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit
Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds, by any other name
Every enlightened soul and master has preached the same.
To recognize and realize this communion in our soul
For every religion and spiritual path has been the goal,
Learn, Love, Live, and thus reach the Light
Attain perfection, with your own God unite.

Soul Force

Blind to God's glory, deaf to God's word
They fight their battles with guns and sword.

Yet to truly fight in the war for the Lord
Engage soul forces, bring the heart in accord.

The power of love destroys discord
Unshaking faith, God's glory restored.

Faith

We fear the Void
Try to avoid

When our visions dim
Our minds scream
Run away, move fast
This shouldn't last

It is the Abyss
Far from bliss
Quick, do something,
Nothing brings nothing

Blow away the fog
Else like a dog
You can only bark
In midnight dark.

But like every morn
The heavens adorn
Horizons distant
Curious, insistent;

Day after day
Darkness fades away
The vision clears
Fog disappears.

The Void in the light
Appears clear, bright
Abyss no longer
Bliss feeds the hunger
For it is trust
That melts the frost.

Our faith in perfection
By introspection
Comes through the Void
That we avoid

So why avoid
This lonely Void
Which seems like Abyss
But leads only to Bliss?

Where faith takes hold
The fear grows cold
It's been of old
Stories untold.

My brother, my friend
You in the end
A message shall send
of faith unbend.

Why not then trust now?
No-one knows how,
So just let go
While you are low.

Cycles of life
Feel like a knife
But in the end
Faith shall transcend.

Duality

Although water can quench the blazing fire
Turns to steam and dries in the fire's empire.
A forest fire turns the calm weather into stormy wind
Change direction, the wind the fire shall rescinded.
In duality, negative positive shall oppose
But positive too, can upon negative superimpose.
It is true that evil goodness will annoy
But goodness too, can evil destroy.
